5 Essential Make-up Tips
You want perfect make-up but you don't want to sit there for hours having someone do it for you? Well here are 5 tips that should get you through that pre-coffee morning fog and out into the day looking your best!
1. Conceal more than just blemishes.
Get rid of those pesky red marks and bags, a good base of concealer will make your foundation look 100 times better! Remember to bring it from under your eyes a little way down your cheeks to give a bit of added brightness.
Put your preferred foundation over the top. My current favourite is the Nutrimetics mineral matt foundation blotted on with a Duo Fibre brush, this is my favourite one from MAC however it is $85 so I got a sneaky one from Thailand.
2. Mascara is a must.
If you do nothing else to your eyes ensure you have mascara! It makes the eyelashes more prominent drawing people into your big beautiful eyes.
Try fluttering your eyelashes on the mascara wand to insure coverage of the tips of your eyelashes. This will make your eyelashes look longer without the help of fakies!
3. A smile will have you blushing all day.
Reason one, it makes the apples of your cheeks more prominent, place the blush on your brush (remember to blow off the excess) rub it in circles around your cheeks, bring it back up to the top of your ears.
Reason two, it’s always great to start your day with a smile.
4. Define don’t darken.
Bronzer typically goes in the line that is created when you suck in your cheeks, this is to define the cheek bones. It can also be used just under the jaw bone to add a faux shadow defining your jaw line and around the crown of your head to create a nice glow.
CAUTION: Always go slowly and build gradually with bronzer as you do not want to look as though you have dirty streaks across your face! build it up and apply in circles to make sure it blends.
5.Keep calm and lip balm.
A lip balm or gloss works for most women’s everyday look. If you’re going for a natural look leave the lippy at home. But if you wish to emphasise your lips don’t forget to chuck one in your hand bag to top up during the day. My favourite every day lippy is Revlon 590 Rosy Nude.
